The United States’ Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recently announced the 2016 Energy Star Partners; one of them being honored is Eversource, an electric company that has a long standing history in the New England area. In addition to being recognized by the U.S. EPA as a Partner of the Year, Eversource has also been deemed a contributor of Sustained Excellence.
Eversource employs many of the Brothers and Sisters from IBEW Local 104. This award recognizes organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency. The official recognition took place in Washington, DC on April 13, 2016.
“By continued collaboration with Energy Star, New Hampshire’s electric utilities are helping Americans save money, save energy and to do their part to reduce our nation’s greenhouse gas emissions that exacerbate climate change,” said U.S. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy.
2016 Energy Star Partners in the New England region included Liberty Utilities, New Hampshire Electric Cooperative and Unitil, with Eversource, make up the recognized New Hampshire CORE Energy Efficiency Team.
